How do I add users and admins?

To add a user, login to your ventrilo server as an admin, then right click on the user, go to server admin, and choose user editor. There, select the user under the current users list. If this is a new user, input the login username and password under the “Info” tab. Under “Profiles” select “Generic User” and it will automatically configure their account with typical settings for a regular user. Once you are finished, click on send and it will add that user’s account.

There will be a password field in the user editor that you must complete. Once you choose the password, tell that password to that user and have them add it to their profile for your server (they must disconnect first to edit that profile). Once they reconnect they will be logged in as that account.

If you want to add an administrator, follow the same steps, except select “Generic Admin” under profiles. You can also go to the admin tab — there you can edit the user’s permissions including administrator abilities.

You can also add users and admins in your ventrilo control panel under the “Users” page. Note: If you add users through your control panel, you must restart your server once you are done adding users for their accounts to be activated.
