Running Two or More Ventrilo Clients Simultaneously
You may or may not know this, but you can actually run two or more copies of the ventrilo client at the same time. However, the ventrilo client disables this feature by default — luckily it’s not too hard too disable this restriction. Why would you want to have two or more clients of ventrilo open at the same time? Well, there obviously many reasons why any person may want to run another copy of ventrilo, but the most common (and obvious) use is to connect to two ventrilo servers at the same time.
Enabling dual ventrilo copies:
- First you’ll need to make sure you have a shortcut to ventrilo on your desktop, quick launch bar, start menu, or somewhere else.
- Once you’ve found the shortcut, right click on it and go to “Properties.”
- In the properties window look at the “Target” field/text box and append ” -m” to the end. The contents of that box should look like:
"C:\Program Files\Ventrilo\Ventrilo.exe" -m - Now, to start up multiple ventrilo clients, just double click on that shortcut for each new client you want.
