A rather obscure feature of Ventrilo is the ability to add custom styling such as colors and fonts to the server MOTD. It’s not a built-in functionality of Ventrilo so we’ll have to use a couple of other programs to make use of styled ventrilo MOTDs: mainly notepad and Wordpad, which should come standard with all modern Windows operating systems. It’s actually a pretty easy process – just copying and pasting for the most part.

However, the ventrilo client disables this feature by default — luckily it’s not too hard too disable this restriction. Why would you want to have two or more clients of ventrilo open at the same time? Volume Normalization in Ventrilo
